Due to the pandemic, SVFA had to cancel its mutual aid initiative First Tuesday Training (FTT) program through 2020. However, that hasn’t stopped professional growth. Gabe Hammett of MCLB Fire & Emergency Services volunteered to lead a condensed Fire Investigation for the 1st Responder class. Following COVID protocols, all-volunteer Fire departments in the Silver Valley were able to attend. An excellent turnout for a class scheduled in under a month. The plan is to kick-off FTT again beginning January 2021 (if COVID-19 allows).
